Create a Google Account Without a Smartphone
Making a Google account on a computer sometimes ends with a QR code that Google wants you to scan with a phone. If you only have a basic flip phone, this free tool reads the number and message out of that QR code so you can just text it yourself.
๐ What this does
When you create a Google account, Google may show a QR code and ask you to scan it with a phone. Scanning it simply tells the phone to send a text message (an SMS) to a specific number. That text is what verifies your account.
If you don't have a smartphone to scan with, you're stuck โ even though any phone that can send a text would work. This tool reads the hidden phone number and message out of the QR code and shows them to you, so you can send the exact same text from a regular flip phone or a landline texting service.
Nothing is hacked or broken. You still send Google's real verification text yourself โ you just skip the scanning step you can't do.
